What is Collaborative Practice? Collaborative Practice is a way of resolving conflict with the goal of creating the best possible resolution for everyone involved, and without going to court. In Collaborative Practice, each person is represented by an attorney who provides legal advice and guidance throughout the process. The parties and their attorneys work together in an informal non-adversarial setting known as a four way meeting. During the course of a four way meeting, the attorneys and the parties identify the interests and needs of each party, exchange relevant information and documentation, and develop an agreement tailored to meet the individual needs of each party. This approach values respect, honesty and a commitment for open communication in a productive and positive atmosphere. |
