What is Mediation? Mediation is a method of resolving conflict without going to court. In mediation, the parties negotiate directly with each other to resolve their issues. The mediator is a neutral third party who helps the individuals in conflict identify and understand the issues, discuss options and create solutions. The mediator does not make any decisions for the parties but helps facilitate the process and create a safe atmosphere for the parties to work together toward a solution that meets their needs and interests. |
